An alternative to safety stock policies for multi-level rolling schedule MRP problems
Article Abstract:
The problems associated with a multi-level lot sizing in a rolling schedule environment and the effect of positive lead times thereon are discussed. A solution to the stock out situations that can arise in such an environment other than a safety stock policy is presented.
