An attempt is made to highlight the way in which changes in accounting procedures are likely to affect one's practice's system of revenue recognition. On 10 March 2005, the Accounting Standards Board (ASB)'s Urgent Issues Task Force issued Abstract 40 that redefines UK generally Accepted Accounting Practice for revenue recognition of service contracts.
