An iterative procedure for reducing problem size in large scale AHP problems
Article Abstract:
An iterative procedure that can reduce human decision-making requirements in large scale analytic hierarchy process problems is presented. The procedure informs the decision maker when a decision alternative has been reached that dominates the rest of the unevaluated alternatives. A probability distribution holds that despite integral problem differences, the technique would result in an average decition time saving of 50%.

Parts routing in a Flexible Manufacturing System with time-varying demands
Article Abstract:
A heuristic algorithm for traffic assignment in transportation systems analysis is applied to multi-machine production systems with high production turnovers. The algorithm maximizes production routing flexibilities and provides for optimal job scheduling and parts routing with time constraints. The system is simple to implement but requires considerable computer processing resources.
