Anti-nuclear reaction
Article Abstract:
Marriages lasted longer as early death of a spouse became less common, with stability peaking in the mid 20th century, and divorce becoming more common thereafter. Step siblings and remarriages were common in Manchester, England, in the 1650s since spouses often died young. Extra-marital births rose in the 18th century, and fell in the 20th century. Extended families and polygamy occurred outside western Europe, and polygamy was found in England until the 11th century.
