Arroyo's corruption bid could define her presidency

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is working quickly to restore stability to the Philippines, while her team of economic advisors is searching for foreign investors. Potential investors, however, remain wary of the Philippines due to stories of excessive corruption and a weak legal and regulatory framework. Arroyo's success as president will be measured by how well she can clean up such corruption and attract foreign investment.
