Asia Commercial in the red
Article Abstract:
Asia Commercial Holdings posted a net loss of HK$17 mn for the year ended 31 March 1998, compared with a net profit of HK$253 mn for the previous year. Turnover, which was mainly generated by watch trading and retailing activities in this year, decreased 25.4% to HK$520 mn. The company explained that its turnover decreased because the results of its watch OEM company were no longer included in its annual report after it reduced its stake in the company to 15% last year. Thus, its non-core businesses now include property and property rental and watch OEM. *
