It is vital to find the correct premises when opening new restaurant outlets, according to Jeremy Mogford, co-founder of the Browns restaurant chain. He is set to open three outlets in London, England, in 1996, the first of which will be in Covent Garden. All the eight Browns outlets have the same atmosphere, and are designed to be light, airy and welcoming. The chain employs 500 people, and will have turnover of around 12 million pounds sterling in 1996.

UK water sector awiats French bid outcome
Article Abstract:
A decision over the bid by Lyonnaise des Eaux of France, a water services group, for Northumbrian Water of the UK, is expected soon, following seven months of regulatory discussions. The case had been passed to the Monopolies and Mergers Commission (MMC) and was then forwarded to the Ofwat industry regulator. Northumbrian claims the bid is lacking specific terms and could disrupt business.
