Quantum mechanics revolutionized the world of physics and is still a source of fascination among theorists because much of it defies common sense. Albert Einstein was intrigued enough that he devised an experiment on the interaction between its principles and rational thought.

The November revolution
Article Abstract:
Samuel Ting and Burton Richter both independently discovered a particle that lead to the study of quarks in November, 1974, while working at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. Ting called the particle J and Richter called it Psi. Their research is described.
