Clarksdale is the center of a new, thriving blues music revival. Many of the music's important figures, such as Bessie Smith and B.B. King, were born or reside there. The town should clean up its blighted Issaquena nightclub strip and promote the music industry in order to avoid the poverty pervasive in the Delta region.

France is not well-understood. Many believe the country is resistant to change, politically unstable and too nationalistic. Although there is some truth to these ideas, the negative aspects of the country are overstated. The strengths of France and the challenges it faces are examined.
