Auto makers in EU protest recycling plan
Article Abstract:
European auto makers are promising to fight a proposed law in the European Union (EU) that would make it mandatory to recycle all old automobiles. Germany has also expressed its intention to oppose the law. Under the proposed law, auto makers would have to recycle all cars without charge by the year 2006. The law is designed to reduce the amount of automotive scrap in landfills.

Court Orders Coca-Cola To End Promotional Effort
Article Abstract:
The Brussels Commercial Court in Belgium has ordered Atlanta, Georgia-based Coca-Cola Co. to halt an advertising campaign. The court claims that the marketing effort by Coca-Cola, which is the market leader in Belgium for carbonated soft drinks, made illegal promotional offers.
