Autostrade-Abertis pact vexes Italian authorities

Shareholders have approved an acquisition between Concessioni e Construzioni Autostrade S.p.A. of Italy and Abertis Infraestructuras S.A. of Spain. The acquisition bid price between the transportation and toll-road companies is 25 billion Euros ($32 billion). The merger would create the largest infrastructure and toll-road operator worldwide with a projected annual income of over 6 billion Euros.

TNT still seen as takeover target

TNT Post Group N.V. of the Netherlands is seen as ripe for acquisition. The logistics provider is the second largest in the world with solid financial performance over the past few years although it is currently under investigation for alleged tax liabilities. Currently, the logistics market is booming.

Dutch government plans to cut stake in TNT Post Group
