BAe will shutter factory in revamp for Eurofighter
Article Abstract:
British Aerospace PLC (BAe) said it will conduct a restructuring of its military-aviation operations. The restructuring entails the closing of one factory and the downsizing of up to 2,200 jobs. The company is gradually terminating the manufacture of older aircraft. BAe is also starting up full production of the Eurofighter. BAe is readying itself to complete the acquisition of General Electric Co. PLC's Marconi unit.
