BOC expected to accept U.S.-French takeover bid

BOC Group PLC is expected to accept Air Liquide SA and Air Products & Chemicals Inc.'s joint 7.17 billion pound sterling (10.91 billion euros) offer. French-based Air Liquide and US-based Air Products have been engaged in negotiations with BOC about an offer of 14.50 pound sterling per share. The deal is expected to win the approval of BOC's board of directors. BOC is an industrial gases supplier based in Britain.
