BPL ENGG RESULTS FALL SHORT OF PROJECTIONS
Article Abstract:
The performance of BPL Engineering (BPLE) has fallen short of the projections made for 1997-98, due to decline in demand for domestic appliances. It recorded a net profit of Rs5.12 crore for 1997-98 against a projected net profit of Rs59.84 crore. Its total income is estimated at Rs19.13 crore against a projected total income of Rs178.17 crore. Its turnover increased by 10.6 percent. BPLE manufactures speakers, transformers, coils, cables, wire harness, power cords, relays , electric motors and compressors.
