BT to cut cost of calls to some mobile phones
Article Abstract:
British Telecommunications PLC is going to cut the cost of calls made to Vodafone and Cellnet mobile telephones. Starting Aug. 1, 1998, per-minute charges to Vodafone and Cellnet phones will be reduce from 32 pence to 30 pence in the day; from 22 pence to 20 pence in the evening and at night; and from 10.5 pence to 10 pence in the weekends. The reduced prices are part of an agreement reached by British Telecommunications with Vodafone and Cellnet, of which it owns 60%. The price cuts mean that charges for calls made to the UK's four mobile-phone firms will now be the same.
