Studies have been conducted that question the economic feasibility of the UK remaining in the European Union (EU). However, the studies are based on the assumption that the UK could continue free trade with the EU, even if it should withdraw its membership. This may not be the case.

A flexible Europe
Article Abstract:
The European Union would benefit from allowing some flexibility in adopting new policies. Member countries should be allowed to opt-out of some policies such as immigration or tax reform. However, the integrity of the EU needs to be maintained on such issues as agricultural laws.
