Building in Barcelona part 2
Article Abstract:
Antonio Gaudi's La Pedrera building will be a highlight of the 1996 Barcelona UIA Conference, but many people will lament the absence of 'the Residence', 13 duplex apartments which were inserted into the building during the 1950s. The apartments were designed by FJ Barba Corsini and were a important example of 1950s design and culture. However, the bank which now owns the buildings demolished the apartments in a bid to restore the building to how it was originally.
