Siam City Cement sets deal

Siam City Cement PCL of Thailand has announced the signing of an agreement that will restructure offshore debts of $501.83 million with 63 financial institutions. Under the terms of the Jul 21, 1999, deal, the company will make an upfront payment of $250 million to its creditors and receive an 18-month grace period. Siam, Thailand's second-biggest cement maker, has also succeeded in moving its balance repayment deadline from 2001 to Jun 2006.
