Before IPOs, fixes for China's banks
Article Abstract:
The Chinese government is planning to list the securities of its large state-owned banks to improve their performances. However, the Chinese government needs to address certain issues before the initial public offerings for obtaining foreign investments. These issues are discussed and changes to be implemented to the banking system and investment policies in the country for developing a more conducive environment are highlighted.

A complete lack of trust

The investors who invested in an intrument issued by Jinsin Trust that was hawked by Bank of Communications, China's fifth largest bank, have reacted sharply on learning that the Trust has defaulted. The economic conditions prevalent in China that led to investors having resorted to such investments and the regulations applicable to the banking industry have been discussed.
