In a Joint Economic Committee of Congress hearing, Federal Reserve Board chair Ben Bernanke testified that he still supports his previous economic forecast, and that interest rates will remain steady. Mr. Bernanke also stated that he will look into the Fed's powers to enforce tougher standards for subprime lending.
