Boeing, Airbus foresee peak year for orders despite airline woes

Boeing Co. of the United States and Airbus S.A.S. of France are forecasting a record year for aircraft orders, even as airlines expect $8 billion in losses for this year with soaring fuel costs. Both aircraft manufacturing companies together have over 1,000 solid orders for planes with orders for several hundred more in negotiation.
