Hedge-fund consolidation intensifies: Integrated purchases majority of Altigefi to expand in France

UK's Integrated Asset Management PLC has purchased a 40% stake in French fund-of-hedge-funds firm Altigefi, adding to its previously purchased 9% stake. Integrated has agreed to purchase an additional 2% once the transaction obtains approval from French regulators. Integrated will pay $11 mil in cash and stock.

Steel Partners launches court battle as Bull-Dog plans takeover defense
Article Abstract:
U.S.-based Steel Partners Japan Strategic Fund has filed a lawsuit against Japan's Bull-Dog Sauce Co. to prevent Bull-Dog from implementing measures that would derail Steel Partner's $221.8 mil tender offer. Bull-Dog plans to issue equity warrants after obtaining shareholder approval.
