Bottled waters and fruit juices in France

In 1996, sales of bottled water in France totalled 10.5 billion French Francs (FFr), representing 5.5 billion litres. Still water makes up 85% of the total. Around 85% of the market is dominated by Castel, Nestle and Danone. Fruit juice sales in 1996 totalled FFr6.2 billion in value, and 900 million litres in volume. An overview of the markets for bottled water and fruit juice in France is given, including details of consumption trends, foreign trade, major players, distribution, advertising, packaging, and forecasts for the future.

Soft drinks in Spain
Article Abstract:
The soft drinks market in Spain grew 4% during 1994-1995 with retail sales estimated at 493,900 million pesetas in 1995. The market for soft drinks is very competitive and the cost of media advertising increased 42% during 1994-1995, with television advertising particularly popular. Consumption of soft drinks varies regionally and is often dependent on the quality of the tap water and tradition. The Spanish soft drinks industry is dominated by foreign producers.
