Bottomley considers 'virtual' National Architecture Centre
Article Abstract:
Virginia Bottomley, Heritage Secretary, is considering plans for a virtual National Architecture Centre, put forward by Rory Coonan, former Arts Council architecture chief. The idea would link existing London and regional architecture centres. Bottomley expects any centre to be supported by the profession and envisages several parallel developments. Coonan has undertaken a study into the function and purpose of an NAC and is also developing a new design guide for applicants of Heritage Lottery funds.
