Bouygues stops work on Kuala Lumpur project
Article Abstract:
Bouygues SA, a contractor based in France, has ceased work on a railway station project in downtown Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, due to missed payments for two or three months. The company's $284-million Malaysian contract calls for development of a new central station, shopping center and office complex in the area. The stoppage of the railway project follows the indefinite postponement of other Malaysian infrastructure projects, such as the the Bakun hydroelectric dam, due to lack of funds. Bouygues intends to resume work on stalled problems as soon as due payments are received.

PSA and Ford to make diesel engines
Article Abstract:
PSA Peugeot Citroen is joining forces with Ford Motor Co. via a transaction valued at two billion French francs to make new small diesel engines in France. The $356-million alliance is an alternative to the automobile industry's tendency to adopt consolidation, indicated PSA Peugeot Citroen Chairman Jean-Martin Folz. Folz stated that cooperation is a better option to merger ties. Ford is currently rumored to be trying to buy another automobile manufacturer after conducting certain high-profile acquisitions recently.
