Consumers morphs into Enbridge
Article Abstract:
Consumers Gas, based in Toronto, Ontario, altered its name to Consumers Gas Enbridge as it parent, IPL Energy Inc. of Calgary, renames itself and its divisions with the Enbridge title to position itself as a total energy delivery and services provider. As the energy market deregulates, Consumer Gas feels that it will be advantageous to have one brand to build its national presence and to stretch the limits of the divisions' traditional names. In line with the name change, IPL launched a newspaper, magazine and TV campaign created by TBWA Chiat/Day of Toronto to familiarize the public with the group's new logo and with other changes in the company.
