Brands hatch
Article Abstract:
Internet incubators help new internet companies to take off more rapidly in order to gain market share at an early stage. The pioneer was Idealab!, which includes the information site, CitySearch among its hatchlings. HotBank is an incubator set up by Softbank Venture Capital, in turn part of the Japanese firm Softbank. Incubators play a useful role in the provision of support services, though companies started without such support may be tougher. Some incubators may also need help from other incubators themselves.
