Breaking the brain barrier
Article Abstract:
The brain normally has a endothelial cell barrier that protects it from all but a few substances that are vital for its functioning, but this also makes it difficult to introduce needed drugs into the brain. A research procedure that attaches drugs to natural brain-entering molecules is discussed.

Breaking the glass ceiling
Article Abstract:
Women have made tremendous progress in the labor market except for the area of management, where the glass ceiling still exists. Some women have worked around this limitation by setting up businesses of their own. This trend started in the US and is now spreading to other countries.

Miguel Indurain won the 1992 Tour de France, repeating his 1991 triumph in the famed bicycle race. The 28-year-old Spanish cyclist completed the 21-stage tour in 100 hours and 49.5 minutes, which is the second fastest finishing time on record.
