Limitations and protests prove an ill wind for the Wright stuff
Article Abstract:
An auspicious gathering that took place at Kill Devil Hills was not as successful as that of powered flight made by Orville and Wilbur Wright, two bicycle builders nearly 100 years ago. Thousands of people including President George W Bush, assorted astronauts and the Right Stuff jet pilots braved heavy rains to witness the flight.

Aircraft conservation leaves the art of identification up in the air
Article Abstract:
The difficulties faced for restoring and conserving aircraft, especially military aircraft, in comparison to old buildings is presented. It is suggested that the use of the original works number gives authenticity to any aircraft of the same generic type, to bring it back to life as a static display or replica.

In around 1994, the American architect Michael Sorkin, a man who once nearly joined the immortal ranks of ex-principles of the AA school, toured the world lecturing on the subject of converting decommissioned Cold War bases in to new towns. He hailed it as potentially the greatest urban revolution in history.
