British retailer Tesco boosts Chinese joint-venture stake

Tesco PLC of the United Kingdom has acquired Ting Hsin Holding Corp. of China, increasing its 50 percent stake to 90 percent. The deal is valued at 180 million Pounds ($352 million). The British supermarket chain has plans to grow international markets.
