Buddhists against Muslims
Article Abstract:
Muslim refugees from Burma, also known as Myanmar, are overflowing refugee camps in Bangladesh. Muslims face persecution from the Buddhist dominated military government in Burma. The Bangladeshi government is appealing to the US for help in pressuring the Burmese government to stop the persecution.

Myanmar has said that the Rohingya Muslims it formerly persecuted can now return safely home. Many who fled to Bangladesh are accepting this offer, but others are reluctant. The United States has accused Bangladesh of forcing refugees to repatriate.

Unrest in Burma, also known as Myanmar, has many fleeing to Bangladesh. Refugees prefer living in the impoverished region called Cox's Bazaar. Despite their poverty, most Bangladeshi are willing to help escapees from Burma.
