Business cool to e-commerce study
Article Abstract:
A Statistics Canada study on value of e-commerce in the country in 1999 revealed that Canadian Internet sales are still very small compared to the US. In 1999 Canadian Internet sales amounted to C$4.4 billion in 1999, only 0.2% of the total C$1.8 trillion in total private sector sales. An observer said that Canadian e-commerce is just beginning and different results can be expected in five years. The state of online buying in Canada can be reflection of the acceptance of non-retail store buying among Canadians.
