CEZ and the Czech market

CEZ (Prague, Czech Republic), power company, expects the available output of its power stations to increase to 12,150 MW in 2003 compared to 10,150 MW in the middle of 2000. The installed output of the firm's nuclear power stations in Dukovany and Temelin will increase to 3,766 MW in 2003 compared to 1,760 MW in the middle of 2000. The share of CEZ in the coverage of demand for electric power decreased by 3.6% to 72.8% in the Czech Republic in 1999 compared to 76.4% in 1998. The share was 80% in 1992.

Kostelecke Uzeniny wants to take a one-third share on the Czech market

Kostelecke uzeniny (KU) (Kostelec u Jihlavy, Czech Republic), meat processor, wants to take a one-third share on the domestic market in its field by 2005. The firm wants to assert itself on foreign markets and to double its proceeds by 2005. That is why it wants to invest 500 mil Kc in the extension of its production by 2005. According to an agreement about an investment incentive arranged with the Czech government, KU should set up 550 new jobs in the Czech Republic.

Glaverbel Czech to be enlarged by end 2000
Article Abstract:
Glaverbel Czech (GC) (Teplice, Czech Republic), glass manufacturer, will commission a new plant named Glaverton in the Czech Republic by end 2000. The plant, which is a common investment of the concern Glaverbel (Belgium) and Pilkington (UK), will include a metal coated glass production line worth about 870 mil Kc. It will have 30 employees during the first stage. It is the first plant for the production of this kind of glass in Central Europe.
