CL speeds up the process of arranging leasing contracts

Ceska leasing (CL) (Prague, Czech Republic), leasing company, is improving the quality of its services in 1998. The company has speeded up the process of arranging leasing contracts with its clients. CL, focused on the leasing of machines, technology and equipment, financed leased products worth 775 mil Kc in 1997 compared to 500 mil Kc in 1996. CL increased its stock from 40 mil Kc to 78 mil Kc in 1998. The company has a 60% stake held by the prestigious leasing company Deutsche Leasing (Germany), a 25% stake by Zivnostenska banka (Czech Republic) and a 15% stake by the leasing firm IKB Leasing (Germany).

Hewlett Packard Technology Finance (HPTF) (US), computer technology leasing company, generated a turnover of 40 mil Kc in the Czech Republic in 1997. HPTF saw a total turnover of 3 bil USD on the global market in 1997. The company recommends not to buy computers for cash to its clients but to lease it under advantageous conditions including service with the possibility of transition to modern technology prospectively.

Essox Leasing (EL) (Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic), leasing company, expects a turnover of 500 mil Kc in 1998. The firm plans to arrange 15,000 leasing contracts in 1998. EL is involved mainly in the leasing of consumer goods, which represent more than 90% of all its arranged contracts. The company is wholly-owned by the purely Czech company M.I.C.B. (Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic).
