CREDIT CARDS TO THE RESCUE OF FILMS
Article Abstract:
The Kerala State Film Development Corporation Ltd (KSFDC) plans to introduce credit card facility to assist film producers, who are facing financial crisis. The cards come in credit limits of Rs10 lakh and Rs20 lakh. They will be issued after checking the producer's track record. The producers have to first register their forthcoming ventures with KSFDC and produce bank guarantee for 50 percent of the amount needed. This will also allow producers to utilise studio facilities at KSFDC's Chitranjali Studio near Thiruvananthapuram. (gs)

UNITED STUDIOS GETS A NEW NAME

United Studios Ltd plans to rename itself as USL Animation & Media Technologies Ltd. The company is being renamed to indicate the change in its business focus. United Studios has moved out of Studio and Post Production Rental business. It is now concentrating on new businesses like 2D and 3D animation, special effects creation and outdoor coverage and broadcasting. (ag)(m)
