CZECHIA: CARLSBERG LIKELY TO BID FOR BREWERY
Article Abstract:
The Danish brewery company Carlsberg is likely to be among ten bidders for the new brewery group which is to be formed through a merger between the Czech breweries Radegast and Plzensky Prazdoj, according to the Danish newsletter Jydske Ugebrev, issued by Jydske Bank. However, contrary to other major players such as Bass and Heineken, Carlsberg has not yet expressed its interest, but is nevertheless considered being a potential buyer. Radegast/Plzensky Prazdoj will become the 11th biggest brewery in Europe. One of its brands is Urquell.
