Cadbury mulls unit spinoff as net falls

First-half net profit for British confectioner Cadbury Schweppes PLC decreased by 78%, and the company may either sell or spin off its US beverages unit. The unit includes Snapple and Dr. Pepper and is valued at approximately 6.5 bil pounds sterling if spun off, and around 7 bil to 8 bil pounds sterling if sold in a private equity deal.
