Can you keep a secret?
Article Abstract:
Companies often worry that employees will take confidential information to a rival firm when they leave. A restrictive covenant written into the contract will limit what the employee can do in the six to 12 months after leaving and the company can sue or ask for an injunction if the person fails to comply with the covenant. An 'Anton Pillar' order will enable an employer to search the ex-employee's home or work for incriminating evidence. A "garden leave" clause will state that employees remain at home whilst being paid, and cannot start work until the period of notice has been worked.

The secret art of cultivating ideas
Article Abstract:
Despite indications to the contrary, many successful business leaders and chief executives gain their creativity and ingenuity from leisure activities. Such leisure time encourages free-thinking and thoughts are unconstrained by the negative aspects associated with the office or workplace. Many executives use travelling time, whether by train, car or plane, to formulate ideas, while others find regular jogging provides them with the right atmosphere to solve business problems. True leaders are able to incorporate business and pleasure into their pattern of life.
