C&W to sell Japan stakes to Vodafone

Cable & Wireless PLC (C&W) announced that it has reached an agreement to sell off its mobile-telephone shares in several Japanese firms to Vodafone AirTouch PLC. C&W will buy the shares for 254 million pound sterling (393.2 million euros). Analysts said that the acquisition price was fair. Under the deal, Vodafone will have a stronger role in how the mobile phone companies will be managed. C&W will sell an 8% share of Tokyo Digital Phone Co., a 7.2% share in Kansai Digital Phone Co., and a 7.2% share in Central Digital Phone Co.

Bryant and Beazer Will Merge to Form One Home Builder
