Candy Elettrodomestici will commission a new plant in Podborany in the middle of 2001

Candy Elettrodomestici (Italy), electrical appliance manufacturer, will commission a new refrigerator and freezer plant in Podborany, the Czech Republic, in the middle of 2001. The plant should produce 800,000 refrigerators and freezers per year. The investments in the plant's construction will be ITL 100 bil, EUR 50 mil. The plant will be the first industrial complex of the group Candy (Italy) in Central Europe.

Dakon completes a new plant

Dakon (Krnov, Czech Republic), boiler manufacturer, completed a new plant in Krnov in Nov 2000. The construction of the plant called Rame CZ (Czech Republic), which will produce copper shaped boiler tubes, cost CEK 24 mil. The plant will manufacture the components that have been imported by Dakon so far. Dakon is one of the largest boiler manufacturers in the Czech Republic.

Holzwerke Wimmer will build a plant in Zdirec

Holzwerke Wimmer (HW) (Germany), wood-working company, wants to build a wood-working plant worth nearly CEK 400 mil in Zdirec-nad-Doubravou, the Czech Republic, in 2001. The plant will be focused on the production of mass wood structures, mainly for the industrial production of wooden houses. HW plans to start the production in Aug 2001.
