Cashing-in on controversy
Article Abstract:
Les Bougon, a comedy show on T.V depicting a poor family which spends more time working on the scams then in real jobs enjoys a 57% market share of audience in it's Wednesday 9 p.m. spot and a full slate of advertisers. The show is criticized by the anti-poverty groups as they feel that the show depicts the people on welfare as unemployed, dirty and beer drinking.
