Central America opens for business
Article Abstract:
Central American nations are learning the economic value to international trade and are working to improve the factors promoting import and export trade. These nations however, must learn to make their estimates realistic and prevent their economies from overexposure so that adverse consequences of globalisation will not have that much an impact. Central American leaders are opening up their markets and streamlining customs procedures aside from others in the hopes of increasing trade and economic growth.

Article Abstract:
Trade sanctions driven by environmental priorities are weakening the basic rule of GATT that prohibits discrimination in trade. GATT should not allow discrimination on the basis of environmental issues, but it should emphasize the use of measures such as labelling to alert consumers.

Wildlife conservation should be aimed at controlled hunting rather than a complete ban on the hunting of a species. Wildlife and other natural resources are of great commercial benefit in international trade, especially for poor countries.
