John Ashberry has issued his latest book-length poem `Girls on the Run.' He feels this work contains nostalgia for the mythical kingdom that he created with his childhood friends. He remembers that he was fascinated more by the world of his little girl playmates than that of the boys. This is why he enjoyed the Nancy Drew and `Oz' books, and the `Little Orphan Annie' comic strip.
