Self-contained loader supports tactical airlifters
Article Abstract:
Perry Engineering has released its Truck, Aircraft, Loading/Unloading, Off-Pavement (TACLOP) 8X8 vehicle to the international market. The vehicle, which was originally developed for the Australian Army, was basically designed to support the operation of the C-130 Hercules. TACLOP, which is also compatible with the C-141, C-5, C-17 and the Caribou airlfters, consists of portable laoding/unloading ramps, a loading winch, rear fork lifts and a movable operator cab.

Litton Ingals on Egyptian submarine bid as exports loom larger
Article Abstract:
Litton Ingalls Shipbuilding is expected to be awarded the contract to build two Moray-class diesel electric submarines for Egypt. Under the deal, RDM of the Netherlands will build the submarine hulls which would be equipped Lockheed Martin combat systems at Ingalls' Pascagoula facility. The company is also pursuing other potential contracts such as missile corvettes for Singapore and Taiwan, and the Phillippines' requirements for offshore patrol vessels.
