Cinergy backs U.S. emissions cap
Article Abstract:
As negotiators prepare to gather in Argentina for an international conference to discuss control of global greenhouse gas emissions, Cinergy Corp. has stated that it would support a national cap on global warming emissions in the United States. Cinergy is a major electric utility company responsible for a significant portion of total carbon dioxide emissions in the U.S. It not only supports legislation to curb gas emissions, but also believes that such regulations would most likely not hurt its bottom line.
