Spain has thriving automobile, tourist, textile, steel and other industries, but a dearth of multinational companies and labor relations are problems. The country's industries could improve by developing better management principles and privatizing more operations.

Many Latinos in the US, particularly entrepreneurs, see opportunity in NAFTA. Others, such as members of labor unions and illegal aliens, view the proposed treaty as a threat to jobs, which may migrate to Mexico if NAFTA is ratified.
