The Danish office leasing market is affected by the weakening of the IT and telecom market. The IT and telecom sector has accounted for 30% of leases of new office premises in the last two years, and the expansion of the construction market has to a great extent been depending on the IT and telecom sector. Denmark: Fishing industry struggling with problems
Article Abstract:
The Danish fishing industry is struggling with profitability problems and many companies in this sector will have to wind up their operations over the next two years. The main reason for this is the shortage of raw material resulting from the past years' drastic fishing quota reductions which in turn have resulted in growing imports of raw materials. According to Peder Hyldtoft, head of the Danish Fishing Industry and Export Council, mergers will be necessary for the survival of the Danish fishing industry.
