Although credit markets have been negatively affected by subprime lending, acquisitions continue. Iceland firm Kaupthing Bank HF has bought Dutch competitor NIBC Holding NV from a consortium headed by US private equity company J.C. Flowers and Company L.L.C. in a stock-and-cash deal valued at $4.06 bil.

Banca Leonardo buys German advisory firm
Article Abstract:
Italy's Gruppo Banca Leonardo S.p.A. has bought German financial advisory company Drueker and Co. This is the Italian firm's fourth acquisition since it was launched in 2006. Financial terms were not disclosed. Drueker serves the midcap sector, and focuses on buyout advice for private equity companies.
