Compromise solution by MCDM methods: a comparative analysis of VIKOR and TOPSIS
Article Abstract:
The multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) methods VIKOR and TOPSIS were based on an aggregating function representating 'closeness to the ideal', which originated in the compromise programming method. A comparative analysis of the two methods is demonstrated with numerical example, showing their similarity and differences.
