Article Abstract:
Planning applications for telecommunications equipment tend to be of two sorts, either it is added to a building or an open site or is an addition to an existing telecommunications installation. 80% of planning applications in England and Scotland have been approved, although the length of time given to this permission varies widely, as do the fees. Suggestions are made as to how improvements could be made to the present planning situation.
